Kubakaddi serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Law and as Dean Students
Welfare (DSW) at Central University of Karnataka. In his role as DSW, he oversees the
overall welfare, well-being, and extracurricular development of students across all schools
of the university, playing a vital role in promoting the Ankur Sports Meet as a platform for
student growth and community building.

About Ankur Sports
Ankur Sports is
the prestigious annual inter-school sports meet of Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi.
The event brings together students from all 12 schools of the university to compete in a wide
range of sporting disciplines — from indoor games like Badminton, Table Tennis, and Chess to
outdoor sports like Cricket, Football, and Volleyball, as well as track-and-field Athletics
events.
The name "Ankur" —
meaning sprout or beginning — symbolizes the blossoming of talent, teamwork, and the competitive
spirit among the university community. The 2026 edition promises to be bigger and more exciting
than ever, with 22 events across Men's and Women's categories.
Beyond competition, Ankur Sports
fosters camaraderie, school pride, and the spirit of healthy competition. It is a celebration of
youth energy, diversity, and the university's commitment to all-round development of its
